It’s hard to get excited about a hardware store- after all- it’s hardware. But this place gets my business time and time again as they know hardware! It is staffed by “more mature” men and women who take pride in what they do. Ask a question on how to do something- and you’ll actually get step by step instructions on what you need and how to do the project.

The other great thing? They carry parts for old houses of which I am a fan but finding odd sized washers, faucets, radiator screens, sash cords, etc is sometimes a problem in the “Big box” hardware stores. Here it is all at your fingertips. I also love that the place is always overstaffed so I don’t need to search out someone to help me- they find me. Or how about the fact that they carry your purchases to your car? Who does that anymore?
